There’s a long-standing friendly dispute in our household — who do the kittens love more? We decided we each get to feed the kittens once a day so nobody gets an unfair advantage. Despite this, they go to Miss M much more often when they want to cuddle. Mr. S seethed with jealousy when the babies jumped into her lap to sleep (and ignored him). But yesterday, it was time to trim their claws. Mr. S was too scared to help because the kittens were mewling and wriggling in fear. So Miss M was forced to wrap the kittens in a towel to constrain their back legs and clip away. The rest of the afternoon the kittens moped around and licked their paws. But Mr. S is happy because since then the kittens choose him when they want to be pet.

LOL–I love how the dispute is “long-standing” even though you’ve had them less than a month. Good call on the nail trimming, I’m VERY glad you’re not declawing. And the younger you start with the nail clipping, the more used to it they’ll be as big boys. Cox is pretty chill with it because we’ve done it since we got him, but Cody balks more. He also pretends like I’m hurting him even when I know I’m not because he knows it’ll get me to stop. Oh Cody.
